Animals

For me, not only exotic animals are interesting, but also our local ones; a sparrow or a great tit are just as interesting as a hummingbird, a deer as an antelope. Accordingly, I am mainly on the move in south-west Germany and neighbouring regions.

With animals, not only the animal should be visible, but also the animal's habitat. Unfortunately, that doesn't always work. I always catch birds sitting freely on a branch or at the top of a tree.

Most of my animal photographs are taken in the wild. This means that the animals do not live in zoos or wildlife parks and are not farm animals.

Some live in nature reserves such as the Federsee, the Taubergießen or the Wagbach lowlands near Waghäusel, others in forests and fields or in the city.
